Right away, Jenny says that this quilt is an easy pattern, so I would say that it is definitely beginner safe. The pattern that Jenny uses is called Royal Nights by Wilmington Essentials and it looks great, but we should all feel free to use whatever fabric that is available, or desired.
To start, we will need our basic quilting supplies. This includes measuring mats, rotary cutters, sewing machine, iron, etc.
We will also need two packs of five inch squares, three and three quarters yards of background fabric, one and a half yards of border fabric, and two and a half yards of backing.
Once we gather all of this we are ready to start. I’m going to let Jenny take over from here, she does an amazing job, as always.
Do not forget to check the video out and learn how to make the take flight quilt! I’m fact, take flight with this quilt!
