At the same time though there is a way to add some spunk, or a different factor. You see, the quilt, in theory, sounds a bit too simple.
But, if we play around with the width of the strips that are between the strips with the flying geese patter, things start to pull together in a wonderful way!
The confetti quilt is really unique due to these things because such a simple quilt begins to catch people’s eye, and that is a great feeling isn’t it?!
Again, no matter what level of quilter you consider yourself, give the confetti quilt a try because it is just super fun to work on. Do not forget to check out the video, it is very helpful and throw a party with your confetti quilt!

Buy the magazine to see it. !

Her instructions were delivered choppy and not at all clear. Sizes and a shot of the finished quilt would have been very helpful. If its the magazine they re trying to sell, a publishing date would have been nice, but she acted like “don’t know when, but oh well….”

Liked the name, but the block was not colorful and did not remind me of confetti. I didn’t think it was a happy block.

She did take time to say the designer’s name this time. I do NOT like the way she talks down to quilters like she is teaching a kindergarten group!

For a beginner, like me, I would like to have seen her actually but all the pieces together, as I learn better by seeing the actual work being done, than being told what to do. Would also would have liked to seen more of the quilt as I think it looks bland.

As a seasoned quilter, I would liked to have seen a finished quilt hanging in the background (visually that helps most of us). Plus, if this is her 1st video, she needs to give the measurements of each piece.

I am just finishing this quilt for Alyssa English in other colors. It’s much more colorful than Mary Fons’ but it is tedious. Well over 300 flying geese. I can’t imagine ever doing it again!

The majority of folks that viewed this tutorial appear to be very “snobbish”. Sure glad I do not belong to a quilt guild . I always enjoy what Mary has to say. She did say at the beginning, that it was ONE block she was demonstrating. Most of you are very critical. Look at your comment, see what YOU wrote. That would make me NOT want to know the majority of you

Kate McGinty this is a picture of the layout of the blocks (on the floor) before the border was added. I made it longer so that it could cover a college twin (?)
