The Churn Dash Block Is A Great Looking Pattern

If this is your first try at making this block it might be easier to start with precuts.

For each churn dash block we’ll need 1 charm pack for the center and a layer cake of the same or similar color for the background, plus a printed layer cake.

The printed or contrasting color layer cake will become the churn dash.

Start by placing the 2 layer cakes, one is the background, the other your printed fabric choice. Place them good side to good side and cut them into quarters.

One of square pieces will be cut in half to make a rectangle that becomes two of the sides of your quilt block.
