Beginner Quilters

This is a great getting started quilt block. By doubling the size of the original size this goes together quickly and the piecing accuracy isn’t as critical as it is on smaller quilt blocks.

After we decide on the fabric we want to use. We’ll need to cut it into strips.

She goes over the folding process quickly but it’s important to keep the selvage edges aligned with the first fold. Make sure it’s laying flat without wrinkles.

Use the second fold line to line up your ruler and trim one edge. This will be our starting point for cutting the remaining strips.
