Making Our Own Dresden Sunburst Quilt

 

 

The dresden sunburst plate block can really stand out and shine on any quilt!

In this tutorial, Jenny adds a sunburst to the center of this dresden.

Dresden template and a the simple wedge tool template are used to cut the dresden blades and the triangles for the sunburst.

It takes 20 “blades” to make a dresden plate block and the sunburst also requires 20 pieces.

If this is your first time at making the dresden starburst or if you’ve tried it before and it didn’t turn out the way you expected, don’t despair!

Consider all your other try’s great learning experiences.

When working with 20 pieces that add up to a circle you’ll need to pay very close attention to your 1/4 inch seams allowance.
