All of us here at keepnuinstitchesquilting.com are aligned with the military either in the past, present, and future. Plus this is a great way to introduce beginners to quilting, while at the same time, supporting our troops.

We are not directly associated with the group on the following page. So we ask that any questions you may have on how to get involve are directed to them. Their contact information can be found on the Next Page. We thank you in advance for any support you provide.  We’ve include a couple of beginner quilter videos we hope will help their efforts.

Even though Veteran’s Day is in November, its never too late or early to show your support for our troops. As an active duty spouse, I know just how much our deployed service members love and appreciate receiving care packages from back home.

The following tutorial is perfect for beginners! Instead of jumping into making a quilt, you are making quilt blocks. Quilt blocks are the fundamental pieces of a quilt. Once you have finished your blocks, they can then be sent to Big Rapids, Michigan, to be compiled and added to finish the quilts. Once the quilts are completed, they are sent to various schools that have Veteran’s Day programs, and are donated to veterans and their families.
