LOOK! NO PAPER…, PAPER PIECING?

From Beginners to Overly Qualified Quilters this is a Great Way for everyone to contribute to a Group Quilt.

With a resurgence in Paper Piecing this is going to make it much easier for Beginners to adapt to Quilt As You Go Piecing Method.

Hand out the Batting Squares and a copy of the instructions at your next meeting and see what happens. At least the blocks will  line up when they’re ready to be assembled.

It’s a great step in helping Beginners get started the right way.

Beginners, make sure you use Jill’s suggestion to use Fabric Starch.

ALSO Slow down your sewing to stay on  the lines!

The video is interesting to watch, seems so easy anyone could do it. I didn’t look for cost for the kit.

I do not like this idea at all and the cost. I like to make a quilt that i cut and sew. Put it together and admire what i have done.

I guess if I just wanted to do a quickie small quilt maybe. I however think that we are losing the art of the quilt, almost like paint by numbers. No sold on it.

I’m a beginner quilter and love this idea. My biggest problem is trying to quilt it after you have it all together. I love the quilt as you go idea.

Sewing the corner squares in is not shown…I doubt that they can be just sewed in. Once one side is sewn down you can’t sew the other. You must sew the corners blocks to the two half square triangles and then sew the whole strip down with one straight seam. Demo does not show this.

I do not strive for perfect perfection. That takes all the fun out of being artistic. My work matches..for the most part..My work is to be used and not displayed….USED…….
