Become a Better Free Motion Quilter

There are many steps to making a quilt. One of the most frustrating things can come from free motion quilting.

Messing up can be very irritating. But it can also be great and really add a “wow” factor to your quilt.

I mean, it is always great to see new, amazing designs on a quilt. Free motion quilting is truly an artistic and it can be very relaxing if you just relax a little.

So, to help us with that, Susan Claire, with Gourmet Quilting, gives us some free motion  quilting tips and tricks that are super useful, you have to give them a shot!

I love the way that she presents free motion quilting, as doodling, because it really takes off some tension and anxiety that may be centered around the subject.

It is what it is, it is doodling. Your needle is the pen and your quilt is the paper and you just need to have some fun with it!

I doodled at first on a potholder. Then I did two potholders. I had so much fun. I progressed to a table runner then a baby quilt. Very good tutorial. Thank you. Start doodling small and go from there! And have FUN doing it!!!!
